Your Permanent Solution To Mold

Mold Solutions of Utah utilizes an EPA registered, non-toxic, environmentally safe, bonded (non-leaching), antimicrobial treatment.  The active ingredient in the MICROBE GUARD application molecularly bonds to the treated surface.  This means treated surfaces will not lose their killing action over time and cannot be washed off.  Think of it as a layer of tiny swords.  When a microorganism comes in contact with the treated surface, the swords puncture the cell membrane’s outer wall.  Since nothing is transferred to the now dead cell, the antimicrobial doesn’t lose strength and the sword is ready for the next cell to contact it.

Our new construction preventative treatment is usually applied just prior to 4-way inspection.  Ideally we would schedule treatment after all HVAC, electrical and plumbing are roughed in.  This ensures that we are treating all exposed surfaces.  Our procedures include:

  • Initial On-Site Inspection:  Certified Mold Solutions of Utah technicians thoroughly inspect each facet of the home, carefully noting any area of concern as it relates to existing mold, water intrusion, open windows, visible leaks, and excess moisture.  In the event existing mold is discovered, it is eradicated by the use of our exclusive "Mold Blast" treatment that kills mold and removes mold stains on contact.
  • HEPA Vacuum to Ensure Quality Application:  Meticulous HEPA vacuuming is essential to the proper application of Microbe Guard EPA Registered Antimicrobials.  Mold Solutions of Utah technicians are trained to search for areas where saw dust and other minor particles would otherwise go unnoticied.  The use of HEPA vacuums minimizes the transference of collected particles.  Special attention is given to all exterior wall cavities under any opening where a water intrusion could occur.
  • Poly Areas Not Requiring Antimicrobial Treatment:  All windows, doors, shower stalls, bathtubs, or other areas where an antimicrobial could adversely affect the "finish" are meticulously protected with poly.  This painstaking process ensures that our antimicrobial treatment will in no way affect any shiny surface or permanently seal in dirt, fingerprints or other unwanted marks.
  • Application of Microbe Guard Antimicrobials:  Mold Solutions of Utah technicians are trained and certified in the art of applying antimicrobials.  Areas where water intrusions might be a factor such as cavities beneath windows, bathrooms, under sinks, and doorways receive special treatment.
  • Post Application Inspection:  A thorough post completion inspection is conducted to ensure there was proper application of antimicrobials.  Certified technicians then remove all poly/tape and other equipment or materials they brought to the job site.  A completion certificate is then placed in the structure.

*Additionally, the MICROBE GUARD new construction preventative treatment is backed by an unmatched, transferable 25-year warranty.

Remember, the price of prevention is significantly less than the cost of remediation, restoration or litigation.
